Second Harvest Food Collection

During this month we reflect on gratitude by celebrating Thanksgiving. It’s a perfect opportunity to reach out to those who are less fortunate and often hungry. Second Harvest is the largest foodbank serving over 160,000 fellow East Tennesseans. They provide critical services to our community and are certainly deserving of our support.

Personal Beliefs & Commitments is joining with Second Harvest to sponsor a food drive at our church. Share your gratitude through action by leaving your healthy canned food choices, baby food or formula, in the Second Harvest food bin located in our lobby.

Since these items will be Thanksgiving dinner for many, boxes of stuffing, rice and instant mashed potatoes, cans of pumpkin, cranberry sauce and canned meats and fruits and vegetables would be a blessing. If you can, purchase several of the same item.

High protein choices like peanut butter, canned soups or stews, canned meat, fish and beans are especially appreciated as are multiples of these items.

The bins will be in the lobby through Monday November 25th.
