The mystics lift up the value of silence. “Nothing is so much like God as stillness,” wrote Meister Eckhart. We all need times of quiet built into our lives. However silence in the face of oppression makes us complicit. As the poet Audre Lorde wrote about dismantling racism,  “Your silence will not protect you.” This Sunday we will explore how to move from silence to language to action.
