We don’t usually associate Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol with the High Holy Days of the Jewish Calendar. However, this year the ghost of Jacob Marley will come early to help us with our voluntary (or involuntary) life review. “I wear the chains I forged in life,” moans the famous ghost, raising the question – what chains have we forged by our own decisions in life? What are our regrets and how shall we find atonement?
