Young Adults

TVUUC strives to value our multigenerational community and provide support and community for people at each stage of life. We offer several spaces just for Young Adults, outlined below. Join our TVUUC Young Adults Facebook Group to stay in the loop for announcements, or email Lauren Hulse at laurenhulse at tvuuc.org to be added to our email list.

Wondering if you are a Young Adult? The Unitarian Universalist Association has defined the age range as “18-35 years.” We think that’s a pretty wide and arbitrary category. We encourage each person to plug in to groups where you feel you most belong.

Third Thursday Gatherings

We gather at TVUUC at 6:30 on the Third Thursday of the month for relaxed social time focused on building community and providing regenerative space where we can recharge from the demands of our lives. Each month’s gathering centers around a different activity or topic, ranging from game nights to discussion circles, potlucks, and social justice field trips. We are an open and affirming circle, committed to justice and inclusion in our community and at large. We hope you’ll join us!

Campus Ministry

Young Adults and college students are invited to this once-monthly Sunday evening discussion circle facilitated my Ministerial Intern Pam Johnson. The subject is driven by the interests of the group. All are invited!

Young Adult Book Club

This discussion group meets every other week around a collection of shared readings arranged around a subject of reflection such as gratitude, forgiveness, or identity. This group takes new members once or twice a year and stays closed the rest of the time to facilitate deeper bonding and healthy group process. If you are interested, please contact Lauren Hulse at the contact info above.
