In this music centered service we will consider the practice and performance of music as an aide in personal development and community building. Practicing music is a barter where we exchange many years of strife for moments of beauty. Thousands of hours spent practicing scales for a “breath of ecstasy”. In the poetry of Sara Teasdale, in devotion to one pursuit you give up something you might have been but in that practice you discover a magic within yourself. In her words “Life has loveliness to sell… buy it and never count the cost.”
