Heaven is a Garden: Flower Communion – Rev Chris Buice and Catherine Farmer Loya

This year our annual flower communion falls on Easter Sunday. Historian Gary Wills wrote, “The desert culture of Islam sees heaven as a garden perpetually rinsed with purifying water.” The inner courtyard of many Muslim palaces features pools of water, a fountain and a garden of flowers.
