The headline in the newspaper read, “Unitarians Divided” in the aftermath of the General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association this summer in Spokane, Washington. However, our parish minister returns from his sabbatical with an even deeper sense of how we are united and why the world needs our unity at this particular moment in history. This is our annual water communion. Everyone is invited to bring water from some place you’ve spent time over the summer to share in a common bowl, a reminder of how our common life is enriched by our individual journeys.
