Beloved community is sometimes articulated as a community of inclusion. CB is going to suggest that “All are welcome” is an opening, an invitation to beloved community, but it is not the goal. We will explore together the idea that inclusion is one part of preparing a community to broaden our understanding of who we are together, and to create equity and justice. That “inclusion” is getting ready to be beloved community. We will look at this idea through a lens that suggests that nothing is ever only one thing.
