Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was both bold and humble. The idea of “modesty” has been weaponized to keep the oppressed in their place. And yet the biblical idea of modesty has radical socio-economic implications for us all. Many of those teachings are more relevant to the 1% at the top of society than the 99% at the bottom.
