Truth with Flowers (The 100th Anniversary of the Flower Communion) In-Person and Virtual Worship

There is a German proverb that reminds us to “Speak the truth but carry flowers” or is there? This Sunday we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the flower communion ritual based on a German proverb our minister once heard (the origins of which may or may not be in his own false memory.) We will also have a special story for all ages in honor of the hundredth anniversary. Everyone is invited to bring a flower to church to give away and come prepared to receive a flower to take home with you after the service. We will also have special recognition of our congregation’s newest members.
