Our church once had a computer program that required us to list who was the Head of the Household in each family. Jenny Arthur, who was the administrator at the time, made the executive decision to make a woman the head whenever it was an option. This Sunday we will contemplate the possibility of a non-binary Father’s Day that allows our church to be more progressive than some patriarchal software.
