When we think of biblical images of wilderness it’s a challenging place — John the Baptist subsisting on locusts and wild honey, Jesus surrounded by wild beasts and tempted for 40 days. But maybe wilderness is an image of just the kind of challenge we need to experience. Our pulpit guest, who left a settled ministry to start Battlefield Farm, will help us explore what may be positive in venturing into wilderness.
