Dr. King was a Christian minister of the gospel who served at Ebenezer Baptist Church but he also cultivated friendships with leaders of many different faiths. One such friendship was with the Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh who worked for peace in his home country of Vietnam in the midst of that nation’s civil war.
