Listening as an Act of Love-In-Person and Virtual Worship

Listening can truly be an act of love.  Thich Naht Hanh teaches, “I am committed to cultivating loving speech and deep listening in order to bring joy and happiness to others [because ] compassionate listening brings about healing.” Being heard and understood is the greatest yearning of the human race. Listening with discernment is fundamental to understanding ourselves and to understanding others. It is fundamental to healthy, meaningful relationships. In this service, led by the Spiritual Care Team, we will learn more about listening with love and compassion as we work together to build a more beloved community.
