Kim Haynes Leaves a Legacy for TVUUC

June 1, 2023 — Kim Haynes — a member of TVUUC who embraced life in all its fullness before she died of cancer last fall at the age of 66 — left a bequest of over $68,000 to the Endowment Fund in her Will.

Her generosity will contribute to TVUUC’s financial stability for many years to come. Annual earnings from her gift will help support a wide range of projects and programs for the Congregation in which she found meaning and support when she moved to the region in 2001.

Kim was an advocate for reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and other social justice causes. A lover of books and an opponent of book bans, Kim prior to her death gave 157 books to the Children’s Diversity and Justice Library at TVUUC.
